|
|
I'm renewing my contract at a public school (E2 visa.) My present contract ends in March, before which I'm returning home for a vacation. I've heard rumours that I can simply renew my visa at the Immigration Office. Is this true, or should I apply for my new visa in my home country?

You can do it at immigration. Need your new contract and some money, depending on where you're from. |

I re-newed last year.
I needed:
Passport
ARC Card
Copies of the contract in english and korean
A notarized certificate of employment (it's the same piece of paper that the school gave when applying for your visa)
Also you might want to have some sealed transcripts and a copy of your degree on hand. Get your minder to call your local immigration office to double check your documentation.
At the end of your process, the back of your ARC Card will be validated with the new expiry date. Don't forget to get new re-entry permits as your old ones will expire with your current visa. |

Its easy & you shouldnt even need to show your academic credentials.
Unless you didnt do that confirmation of degree rigmarole last year. Then all bets are off. |
