I wonder why it is called KT premium, when netopia is clearly faster. So it really isnt premium is it? |

From personal experience (had premium in my last place, netopia current), looking at their website.. etc
D/l'ed will and grace from a torrent site on friday...completed in 1 min 19 sec
transfer reached a max of about 3.6MB/s... on dc++ my max was 5.8MB/s from another user here in Korea.
My upload speed has been as high as 2.8MB/s |

Okay, I see the problem, you are getting confused with megabytes and megabits.
What you are getting is megabits. There is no way you got 5.8Megabytes from your connection.
Not the same is it?
*edit*
And while you are talking about torrents, they fluctuate a lot so you cant use that as your basis. |

I need to make a correction. I just confirmed we pay W32,000. I thought something was wrong when I checked the speed vs. price.
Anyway, I will have to look into upgrading!! |

Can't general users get a much better deal on cable internet if they combine their internet access with TV and get it from the cable TV company?
My Korean friend says she pays something like 18,000 plus basic cable, which isn't much over 10,000 won. Totalling under 30,000 won for both. And I think she is living in the Yeoksam area. |
