Well I'm going to pack 2 mitts, my batting gloves, and cleats. Whether I find a softball league or not, I still would like to throw around and maybe some batting practice?
I'm looking for people in Seoul that play or want to play slow or fast pitch softball. It's a fun sport and you get to smoke and drink beer while waiting to bat! If anyone is interested post here. Skill level is not a concern. Beginners to professionals welcome. Coed? Sure. I believe if I can get a solid group to begin this, word of mouth of how fun it is will spread. That's how I did it in my city and we eventually had so many people we had to make 4 teams.
Post if you're interested! |

Hi.
I brought my mitt, several softballs and harballs. No bat though. I'm only free on weekends. I work from early mornings to late evenings and am taking a class from April 5th to June 15th M/T/Th nights.
Pm me when you get here and we can meet up if you want. I also have a nice frisbee with me. |

I realise your in Seoul but I didn't want to make a thread about it.
If there is any players in Daegu who have a team I would love to join in. I've never played before and have only ever used a baseball bat to terrorise my brother. I'd love to give it a whirl tho. Seeing as they play here I could buy a glove here I'm sure.
Also I'm interested in playing cricket too, also something I've never done, if anyone in Daegu plays.
so anybody in the know, hook me up. |

Some people are trying to get together in the Suwon area. It'd be cool to have two a Seoul team and a Yongin-Suwon team to compete. I'd definitely be interested in playing for the latter. |

I will definitely be interested in playing softball when I get over there. My contract starts on the 15th of May, and I'll be sure to bring my glove, my fastpitch catcher's glove (if anyone's into fastpitch... I used to be a pitcher and a catcher). Also, I was planning on bringing a couple of 16" softballs, too. Should I bring more than a couple? I do happen to be coming from the 16" softball capital...
I will be located in Yeongtong. |

I am up for it. I know my friend Lauren will be up for it too.
I'll make sure we both bring gloves. I don't think they will let me take a bat as a carry on would they?
Are there recreational leagues? Or softball fields at parts to play? What about at Olympic Park?
I'll be in Gangdong gu. We both will work M-F until 6 PM but I'm sure we'll represent the Seoul team. |

I'm happy to see a good turn out so far. Bats you can always buy in Korea. That's nothing to worry about. I am worried on finding a baseball diamond. Anyone know of any? I'll be arriving in Korea next month. So, everyone who replied, I'll pm you guys and ask for emails to start an email list of players/times/and places to meet.

Plenty of softballs never hurt. Good for batting practice too!
Keep the replies/interests coming guys/girls. |

I'm flying out Wednesday to Seoul. I'll check Olympic Park but I think maybe baseball wasn't an olympic event then The Asians like baseball and there are a couple of teams in Seoul. I'm sure there is some recreational access. |

re the softballs: I will bring a few 16" balls if I can fit them in my luggage. My guess is we can find 12" balls in Korea. Is there an interest in 16"? |
