Am I able to do my own taxes? My school is to incompetent and I don't trust them do them because they already defrauded me out the money.
I have an E2 visa.. What do I need to do?
Yes I am staying another year with this school I already signed a contract. Its an alright school except their accounting dept sucks. |

You can pay your own taxes. However, you must have an official statement of the money you earned, similar to a T4 in Canada. Your employer is legally obligated to supply it to you if you ask for it.
If they've been withholding taxes but haven't been forwarding them then there's a problem.
I'm in a similar situation with a former employer who after almost 2 years has still not paid my withholding taxes to the government. I've complained to the local tax office and was told they couldn't do anything about it.
If your employer is unwilling to do what he's supposed to do then you'll have to go directly to the National Tax Services (as the regional offices either don't know what to do or don't have the inclination to do anything, which is probably more accurate) and submit what ever evidence you have that your employer has basically commited tax fraud.
Good luck to you.
I'm about to submit all of my stuff...I'm hoping my former employer absolutely shit's himself when the NTS finally busts his ass.

I forced their hand. They have to pay back the money they unlawfully took from me. Now they also have to provide a monthly detailed paystub. I called NTT and I think they shit their pants for a while they were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. |
