I'm planning a two week trip from approx 11th July to 25th. Starting Daegu and heading south then west and circling Korea in a clockwise fashion. I have a hammock/tent and was planning on camping out on beaches and stuff. I've got most of the gear needed.
I ride a Daelim 125cc.
PM me if you're interested. I'd like to do it with someone. |

I am sorry to bring this up. but you should check the laws. Motorcycles, not of any size are allowed legally on the highways. No one that I have ever met has ever travelled from city to city on motorcycle. I have driven motorcycles for over 10 years all over the world and Korea has some of the most retarded laws. Good luck |

jmilton. motorcycles are NOT allowed on the 'superhighways'. that is the 100 km an hour autobahn style city-to-city highways. but on the 'secondary highways', which have a limit of 80km/hr....yes, allowed. the 'superhighways' are the ones which have tolls, meridians between the opposing lanes, multiple lanes. there are signs visually signalling no motorbikes (x through the biker picture).
so what. those straight-aways aren't curvy anyway, nor scenic. |

Well, you have just met one now. I've done a fair amount of intercity travelling on my bike.
Captain Kirk is right. While bikes are not allowed on the "expressway" (granted this is a stupid rule) they are allowed on the "national highways".
I have to agree with Captain Kirk again. Travelling via the "back roads" is a much better experience. Less traffic, better scenery and the roads are definitely more fun. |

Well, there is a small group of us riding about the peninsula this summer. Our destination(s) have yet to be set-in-stone. I, very unfortunately, am riding a 250cc ... blew my 750's engine (SHISSA!@) I normally take day rides on weekends, no more than 5 hours a sitting....
Summer rides are hard to organise as those with bikes go away during holiday, and if they don't, they've a boss to report to on Monday. So our plans are limited. Me? I'm lame. I don't leave the country during my holiday, PM on any event.!
I am located in Choongnam (Cheonan-ish)
Shoosh,

It'd be wicked, but getting my hands on even a cheap 125cc Daelim(had one before) is proving to be kinda difficult. If I ever actually get a bike, though, I'll be ready to rock. |
