|
|
Hello~thanks for reading my post~~
Just wondering, is it legal to teach at a private elementary school(not hakwon) with a F4 visa?
I already have the F4 visa...Is it necessary to get the E2?
Are there any disadvantages or advantages?
Help!!! thank you |

The F-4 is a Perment Residency visa for Korean Americans, Korean Canadians and Gyopos of other Western countries that allows them to work and live in Korea indefinitely with practically all the same rights as a citizen. There are no restrictions on working, owning a business, owning property or engaging in commercial transactions. The only limitation I'm aware of is that F-4 visa holders are forbidden from working in manual labor (3-D) type jobs or engaging in anti-government activities. Otherwise, F-4 holders can engage in any other type of lawful employment, including working in public schools, hagwons, working multiple part-time jobs, or even tutoring. The E-2 is a Foreign Language teacher's visa that is sponsored by the employer and is terminated when the employee or employer terminates the working relationship. |
