|
|
Greetings!!! Hi, I just got a job offer in Ansan teaching English to Kids through the Arts (pretty amazing, huh?). The funny thing is that my experience teaching ESL helped, but my background in the Arts seemed more important!
I want to know about your experiences teaching in Korea, especially if you were in Ansan or a place similiar to Ansan. Ansan is a small suburb-like town 2 hours outside of Seoul. Being from a suburb, I can guess what that part is going to be like. What I don't know about is what can I expect from parents, non-profit organizations, kids? If anyone can offer any sound advice based on experience, please let me know. I have to give them a decision in 1 week.
Thank you,
Ms. Laoshi |

I have to agree with CLG, but add more!!! Expect that you WON'T be teaching ANYTHING that has to do with art!!! Best advice: Go with the flow! Don't stress yourself out about things you can't change. Your mantra: "Korean style...Korean style...." |
