We have been offered a position firstly in Dadaepo beach. We were just wondering what this area is like and how close it is to downtown?
We've also been offered a position in Ulsan but were under the impression that it was a bit industrial and dull. Is this the case? Thanks for your help!! |

Well I can only answer for Dadaepo beach..ifyou are talking about the one in Busan(you didnt say).
Dadaepo basically is a nice area. Its at the mouth of an estuary on the far West side of Busan. The beach is very wide and holds several events throughout the Summer including an "International" rock concert there.
The sea according to the locals is 'dirty'.Ive swam in it and it didnt seem any different from anywhere else.
There's a few little nice spots there and a couple of nice restaurants.A good jogging road alongside the nearby river.
I think its a cool place to live for a quiet life.
Hadan is the nearest area for 'any' kind of nightlife....theres a cinema and a pretty good in line skating ring there also.Take about 10 minutes in a taxi.
But Dadaepos downside is the lack of a subway station.A taxi to Nampodong will take about twenty minutes (much more in the Rush hour).
You could feel a bit isolated if you need to touch base with the ex pat community often...the main foreigner areas are miles away. |
