Just out of curiosity...

Mine is 19" - sometimes 1024x768, sometimes 1600x1200. Depends on what I'm doing.

Yeah, mine's set at 1280x1024. A nice new digital 19"(the old one was about 12 years old and died less than a month ago).

I usually keep them at native resolution except for the DELL:

15" Dell Precision laptop:
UH sxga (or something like that, proprietary to DELL apparently) with native resolution of 1200 x 1600. Shocked Incredible, and if I hadn't had laser eye surgery I would have clawed out my eyes in frustration by now. Truly beautiful but not practical. Luckily it looks great at 800x 600, the native resolution of my digital projector;
800x 600 on a 96" screen is still pretty sweet for games and movies.
BenQ 19" LCD: 1280 X 1024
NEC 19" CRT: 1024 x 768

Oops. Guess that's because I never use it myself (don't know why).

Mine's not the biggesst (monitor)! I have a 19" monitor and it seems to be easiest on the eye at 1152 by 864. It's a generic brand but I love its name it's a CEDIS sort of like 'See this'. It wins points for having a cool name alone Wink

There are better monitors but I'd rather spend my dosh on a great audio card as my PC is also my music player.

Sound is more important to me than anything. I want to buy some nice speakers, I don't game a lot but I watch dvds. What speakers do people you folks consider to be the best? I like creative as they're cheap as chips have a good bass and sound pretty good as long as you position them correctly.

I want to get a nice 5.1 speaker set up as soon as I know I can afford it. The only reason I don't splash out now and buy some is I'm getting married soon so I'm trying as hard as possible to save up money Sad

To clarify getting married Smile

Not being able to spend a crap load of money on the best speakers I can get, I'm a fan of mission speakers Crying or Very sad

I wish the rest of the world would start using Metric, it makes so much more sense. Imperial is silly in this day and age.
