My boss told me to arrive 10 days in advance for training purposes.....
I guess I won't be paid....Is this normal? |

What peppermint said.
If the school sends you to orientation for 2-3 days they don't really have to pay you or they might pay you a small amount. Some schools also offer a relocation allowance upon arrival in Korea and this covers initial set up costs and orientations.
If the training lasts more than a couple of days, you could (politely) ask about renumeration. |

Well, at least they have SOME training!! With most schools you arrive one day and teach the next!!!
I do agree that 10 days is pretty long. Can you negotiate? |

| They don't want you jet lagged. don't ask for compensation, but ask for a resettlement allowance as somebody else said. |
