Love your ipod, but does the battery life makes you paranoid about going 5 feet away from your charger? Do you think of your old ipod as an old friend, who's slowly dying and you're simply biding your time until you have to upgrade to a new iPod? Well, there is another solution.

I am currently taking orders for replacement ipod batteries for 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, and Mini (Sorry, no shuffles, nanos, or video ipods at this time.) Don't know which model you have? Look here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61688

I will replace your battery with a new higher life battery giving you up to 30 hours!

Make that old 1G-3G ipod new again for only $65.00! iPod Mini battery and 4G replacement is only $80.00.

E-mail me to place an order. Questions? E-mail me at [email protected]

Do it yourself kits are also available. E-mail for more information.

(Due to shipping and tariffs charges, I will not place on order for batteries until I get a certain number of orders. A 50% deposit must be placed before the order is made. Buyer is responsible for delivery and/or pick up.)

***Tech Specs***
1G and 2G battery=2200mAh Apple iPod Replacement Li-Polymer(internal) Battery for all 1st & 2nd Generation (aka 1G & 2G) iPod Models. 78% MORE Capacity vs. Apple's iPod Battery. Up to 20hrs

3G battery=850mAh Apple iPod Replacement Lithium-Ion(internal) Battery for all 3rd Generation (aka 3G) iPod Models (dock connector). 30% MORE Capacity than the original Apple battery! Up to 15 hrs.

4G (aka click wheel) and ipod photo battery=900mAh Apple iPod Replacement -Internal- Battery Kit for all iPod Photo Models 30GB, 40GB, 60GB; also for iPod 4th Gen 40GB Model. Up to 28% more for Photo, 40% more capacity for 4th Gen 40GB! Up to 30 hrs!

***Disclaimer***

I only replace the battery! If there is other hardware issues with the ipod such as a faulty harddrive or DRAM issue, it is not my responsibility.

Elric, you won't be able to get the battery + shipping to Korea for 13 dollars.

Plus you have to go through customs and pay duties.

Shipping is very expensive and unreliable to Korea. I am going through a reputable company and I will be shipping (to Korea) through DHL. Also, the Ebay batteries are probably not the higher capacity batteries. These are new batteries, not ones that have been sitting for 2 years.

The price includes the pain in the arse installation and letting me go through all the little hassles (delivery to Korea, customs, installation tools, etc.)

Dan

It would cost under $20US to buy it and ship it here from the US including insurance.

YOU will pay customs because you are ordering a large batch. Anything under $250US (including shipping) isn't hit by duties unless it is a specialty item that customs has singled out. Even still, duties would be maybe 30% ($6).

Having said that, it is true that some of these batteries could have been sitting around for a long time, and you would have to double check the specs carefully before buying.

The more important question I would ask is if ipoddan is a certified service person. Will he take responsibility for any damage or scratching that may occur during the replacement.

My equipment won't scratch the ipod. I'm not a certified tech, but I've replaced a couple batteries already for my friends and for myself. You could take it to Apple Korea, but they'll charge you $120.00. My batteries have a longer charge than theirs.

80dollars vs 120dollars and for the extra 40bucks you get it done by certified Apple preofessionals who will cover their work with a gurantee etc...

Anyone who "loves their ipod" would no problem in spending that extra cash.

Id conisder you offer, but in light of the above, your price would have to come waaaay down

good luck anyway

the guy doesn't even have any batteries in stock?? 50% deposit before it's done? no guarantees?

it's just a shame you can't deal drugs in korea. at least that's a way to con suckers without having to sell people on your product (drugs sell themselves!)

but hey, leave ipod-dan alone. he's just trying to make a buck. buyer beware after all, isn't it?

Yeah, I'm trying to make a buck. I mean it's not like I'm going to do all the work for charity.

Also, the batteries have a certain shelf life. If they sit too long, then the battery life will be lost, so it is best to get newly manufactured batteries. The ones I had in stock have been used up by customers who had requested them earlier, and yes, they were cheaper because I carried them on the plane with me back here.

I was offering DIY kits if you hadn't noticed and I'm only offering the longer life batteries. If you want the lower life ones, they're cheaper.

Oh, and all of you that THINK YOU ARE STILL IN AMERICA OR CANADA, you need to get a clue. Everyone complains about the prices of laptops, microphones, and batteries on this site and honestly you should all just need to get over it. Getting things into Korea is unreliable at best, especially if you are trying to get something shipped to your apartment, and I know for certain that many people who sell on ebay will not ship to Korea without a very high shipping and handling charge. Also, Apple Korea will not upgrade any Apple computer or ipods. Nor will they give discounts on the software. You should try getting an Apple tech to work on any Apple product. Most of them don't know a thing about the OS. If you go to the COEX, you'll notice that the ipod service tech is using a VIAO and not a Mac (this was about 3 months ago when I noticed.)

Servicing anything Apple made in Korea takes over a month. I had to REPLACE, not repair, my ipod photo and that took a month and a half. And I don't even know if they replace batteries in Korea. My $120.00 quote was the US replacement charge + VAT. It is quite possible that it is quite higher.

Regardless, it doesn't matter anyway. I have my first order for batteries put in. Anyone that wants to order after this point will have to wait until more people want to order.

I agree. Sounds like a man, yelling at the bank that wont give him a loan for his business, because his business idea is faulty.......

Then resorts to personal attatcks on his way out the door.....

Complainers should all go back home where they can have everything the "way" it should be (you all just sound like bunch of Republicans anyway.)

I dont agree with personal attacks with people selling their stuff. Ie: Oh a used computer goes for blah blah blah, when prices are arbitrary.

But if someone is trying to run a business in a public forum, then, be prepared to deal with this sort of thing, because exact prices of new goods can be easily found on the web. Eliminating bias of opinion. Then adding value to a service becomes the part subject to opinion.....

the 3G ipod battery would be 30% more charge. The 30 hour battery was for the ipod mini.

as mine was crap to begin with, I never got near the times purported with the Apple web site, so 30% more is kinda meaningless to me.

How many hours do you reckon (best guesstimate)?
