Hello
I'm hoping you all can give me some help with my "homework"
Did you fly in on a one-way ticket or were you required to show proof of exit or ongoing travel?
Did you enter with a visa or did you just enter for the 30 day visiting period?
How did you find the best airfare? If I must purchase a ticket out of Korea before being allowed in in the first place then where is the cheapest place to fly from Korea?
If I fly in with a one-way ticket and must show proof of intent to leave, will I be allowed to purchase a ticket at the airport in Seoul or will I be sent back to where I came from?
Thanks much |

If you hold a US passport...then it sould be no-problem to come on a one-way ticket, I allways do. And, if you swim to Korea you'll save a lot of cash and won't require a visa as you can come up on shore anywhere along the coast. Sometimes I do that but it's difficult as it's a long haul and you can't carry that much food.

I always like to get into Korea via the old container ship dealio, you can take up to 3 weeks of dry food with you and it's fun to smell the salt air. |

Save your money, just go to the Koreatown in your local metropolitan area. |

Go to the coast and jump. Trust me.
----Of course the best way is for the school to pay for you to come here. |

I've always been partial to burrowing through the center of the Earth to get here. Not only is it cheaper than flying, but it also saves the hassle of going through Immigration. Plus, if you surface inside the subway, you can get a free ride right to your apartment! |

you could fly in on a one way ticket and go to osaka or fukokka, japan for your visa after you find a job that you like. this option would require that you bring a lot of cash for living expenses while you search for the hogwan job of your choice (after paying for your own airfare).
expedia.com
travelocity.com
bt-store.com
cheaptickets.com
also, asian stores/markets/ travel agencies
they all have one-way options.
you might be better off just going through a recruiter or actual school in the jobs list as they would cover all your expenses and have your "apart-ah" waiting for you when you touch down. up to you ... |

I came by sea, hence the term fresh off the boat. |
