Hello everyone,
I hope someone can help me with a fairly specific question. I am working at a winter camp and need to do a visa run for a C-4 (short term) visa. I would like to get it in Shanghai. Has anyone done this? I was told by the embassy in Shanghai that I need a Certificate of Confirmation of Visa Issuance (CCVI). However, my school says I do not require this. I really don't want to show up and have them tell me I need one.
Any info you could provide would be helpful. Even if you just got a regular E-2, did you have any problems or issues? How long did it take? Thanks a lot. |

| you'll need a visa for China, but you don't need the blue paper (confirmation of visa issuance) any more. Instead they just give you a number to pass on to the consulate people. |

| Great, thanks for the info. I wonder why the lady at the embassy said I needed one? I guess she was confused or something. Do you have any idea how long it takes? I want to go on the 26th of Feb to the 3rd of March. Wednesday, the first is a holiday. I hope thats enough time! |
