After extensive searching on daum, naver, etc. i still cannot find many places to buy import mountain bikes; specifically, a Giant, or Specialized. Are they available for a good price on base?
The only place Ive actually entered was in Sanggye-Dong; but the guy thinks im rich because im a teacher/foreigner, so i have a feeling there wont be any heavy discounting involved.
Anyone know of any used bikes?
btw, not interested in the Korean brands. Lespo, Corex, whatever. Anyone have any luck with finding a bike here, or do you just box yours up from home?

I picked up a decent Trek in Bundang a couple years ago, and I've seen Cannondales and other import brands around here and there, too. Keep looking, they're out there...

There's a road that runs between Gongdeok, Aeogae and Chungjeongno stations on (purple) line 5.

If you get off the subway at Gongdeok and walk toward Aeogae so that the main road is on your left hand side and you're following the traffic, you'll walk past a big bike store selling Giant, Specialized and all kinds of high-end mountain bike gear.
These guys had some very serious bikes costing up to a couple of thousand dollars (and they sold me a 10,000 won light for my crappy bike)- nice people too.

If Fuji is OK I can give you directions to their store in near Yongsan station. I saw bikes ranging from 400,000 to 2.5 million KRW.
