Nespot is a lot of places. But you can also find a lot of free spots all around Seoul. I have my own wireless router for my home, and it works well. There are a lot of crappy/buggy ones as well.
Try using your wireless for free around town. Some of the starbucks have free access (I think Apkujeong does) and you can leech off other ones in bundang's starbucks if you sit at the South window on the 2nd floor. Chiaa said his wifi outside of whatthebook in Itaewon is OK to try. |

I've got a wifi-finder, and there are tons of hotspots all over. Take your laptop with you, and set it up in areas that you will normally find yourself. COEX Mall has several wifi systems set up, although I am not sure how many of them you can actually hook up to. Probably at least a few. Walk around in the apartment complexes with your laptop, and you will find more. Yes, Geckos has a free one, and on warm days when they open the windows, it reaches to the 2nd floor of Burger King. |
