I was recently offered a contract at yes youngdo, suwon and the branch in anyang. I manged to speak with several teachers at both branches which prompted me to do some further research (Suwon branch has apparently had to hire 5 new teachers due to contracts not being finnished in the past 6 months, made me wonder why). I spent many hours checking them out and I turned down both contracts. Several things rubbed me the wrong way such as classes being video taped, apparent drug testing on a regular basis, long hours when you consider clocking two hours before class and 10:00 finishing time. There are also dozens of posts on a various sites about the management of the franchise. Another factor for me was that I really did not want to be close to Seoul and the Suwon branch is a 20 minute busride to downtown Suwon so it didn't seem to be a great location. As a result of my countless hours of research into various schools in SK I have turned down 5 offers but number 6 turned out to be the charm. I will be on the south coast of SK on July 7th, do your research before accepting a position with YES.
