So I get this email from my school with a number that I need to take to the Korean Embassy and they inform me that I no longer need to have the 'blue paper'.
Can anyone else confirm this? I feel uncomfortable getting on a plane with out some kind of documentation to take with me. I have lived here since 2001 and this is the FIRST time I did not take something with me to the embassy.
Any help would be appreciated!

The blue paper hasn't been required for several months now. All that immigration does is issue a visa issuance number. You take that to the Korean embassy.
Several new teachers have done the same thing here whether they've been hired outside of Korea or have had to do the Osaka visa run.

Yeah you just get a code. That scared me too. I want a form, in triplicate, with various official looking seals! |
