|
|
Hi everyone, I'm just wondering if anyone has heard of a school called Haba Kindergarten in the Daehangno Area??
They only teach kinder (and before anyone says anything, I taught it before and actually like it) so the hours are really good.
Also, does anyone live in the Daehangno area, I don't know much about it and would appreciate any comments on what its like to live there.
Thanks...no comments on how I like kinder please |

Simple search... gave me...
Deahangno(The Streets of youth) can be summed up in a few words. Theater posters, sculptures by renowned artists and young people casually enjoying out door performances, concerts or people watching in the relaxed artistic atmosphere of Marronier park. Daehakro is a cultural melting pot creating new types of art everyday. Dubbed the Mecca of Korean Cultural Performances, Daehangno provides a vibrant scene of lively new cultural trends. This district is a definite must-see for those seeking to grasp the drift if contemporary Korean culture including music, theater, movies, literature and cafes
I think it is in a fine area(Northern Seoul). You should know that some people might disagree and say that the place to be is south of Seoul/Han river in Gangnam. But who cares... There is a mountain near Hyehwa so you can go hiking!
I work in the Gangnam area but live in the Itaewon area.
you can log on to www.smrt.co.kr
find Hyehwa Subway Stn. with the information below, click on English."
There is additional information(tourist) that can be found on that website

Hey, thanks to both for the info. I checked out the link and I think it looks like a decent place. I have been looking for positions in Gangnam and south of the Han but this one has the hours and pay that I want.
Anyway, its not for sure yet, just checking it out to make sure its what I want and where I want.

I like the little kids, I taught kindy last year in the morning and elementary in the afternoon and I prefered the kindy. I seemed to have alot of trouble with the elementary kids, like discipline and stuff....maybe just my personality... |

I agree with the OP, Kindy is more fun than Elementary and less discipline problems too. You can scare the hell out of them |

Don't know about the school, but Daehagno area (Hyewha Station) is a very hip place. It's relatively clean for Seoul, has numerous restaurants, theaters and bars. Most Koreans consider it to be the Arts District of Seoul so there are a lot of artsy type students hanging out there. It would be an excellent place to live |
