In the past month I have moved to Seoul for next 2 to 4 years from the Atlanta area. I have shopped the various markets, but have been unable the find anywhere a conversion chart from Korean to US cloth sizes and vice versa. While I will have the ability to get backto the US frequently, I prefer to get to know the culture here and understand the way things work. If I can't find a chart, can some one tell me my the cloth sizes I should be looking for? I am 5'9" tall, 175lbs (or so), Shirt 16 1/2 x34, pant 34-36 x 30 and jacket 40 reg. Thanks for your help. Question Oh yes, I am a male.

Go to Itaewon and have your shirts made at Hamilton Shirts. Ask them for the Korean numbers after they measure you. Then do your shopping for Korean-style clothes at APM in Dongdaemun. I think it's the 5th floor or so.

Try Big Boss in Itaewon. It is on the same side as the Outback restaurant just two or three shops down.

You will need all your measurments in millimeters, including your feet if you're looking for shoes. If you go to Dongdaemun, many of the vendors can measure you also though if you let them guess your size they will probably guess one size too large. Try everything on. My husband is also 5'9" and pretty thin. He wears a 95 / medium, but the salesclerks are always trying to get him into a 100.

I did once find some good conversion charts online, but I don't remember where. Try Googling Korean Clothing Conversion, or something like that. It might take some fishing.

Unless you want to get all your clothes tailor made

Good luck.

not sure if I'm missing something here, but can't you just try them on?
