| Don't do it, ok? It's fraud. It's illegal. It might sound obvious, but your recruiter will say that the school knows what's going on, but they don't. If someone tries to make you do this system, report them to the tax people and the labour board. |

Do a search on "after-school programs" or "scams" and you'll find all kinds of interesting threads. Basically, the recruiter gets you to open two bank accounts. The main one, they hold. The secondary one, is yours. They deposit your pay into the secondary one from payments made by the parents of the students into the main one(or sth like that). I'm sure they do all kinds of tax evading by having the main acct in the teacher's name. |
