Am moving to korea soon and am a sport fanatic!

Just wondering if there are an abundance of basketball courts or tennis courts throughout korea's many cities?

I'd assume yes for tennis...no for basketball but would love to be proved wriong:-)!

cheers

Where will you be living? There are lots of places to play b-ball, but finding a court that's not dust might be harder if you're in Seoul.

You would be wrong about basketball, although not abundant you will find bball courts (most schools have them) even the smallest of towns or cities. Thats not to say they will be a hard surface though many I have seen are played on dirt, same is the norm for soccer (football) for most of the world.

Tennis is a little more rare to see in my experiences, it is also more geared to the elite of korea however thats not to say you won't be able to find a place to play tennis.

Golf is likely the most expensive sport and is for the elite.

If your into bowling (if you can consider it a sport) lanes are found in everyplace.

Table tennis is also quite common here.

The most popular activity for Koreans seems to be hiking in the mountains and they are everywhere.

Hope that helps
