Have you done this before in Korea- purchase a money order? I would like to but was wondering what the procedure is. Do I need to bring passport, ARC card, payslip like I do when I send money home from my KB account? I have heard that Korea Exchange bank is the best place to do this.
Thanks for your help. |

I got one the other day, becasue I forgot my banking info at home ( mad rush when I saw how good the exchange rate was)
Bring the ARC, passport and payslip just in case. |

You won't be able to get one from KB bank. For some reason they just don't have them...they'll give you a very confused look, even when you have it written out in Korean for them.
Citibank will do them, though they will take a painfully long time and ask way too many questions. They even called immigration to make sure I was legal...it took almost an hour before I had the money order in my hand. Korea Exchange Bank will do it quite quickly and is probably your best bet. |
