Have you done this before in Korea- purchase a money order? I would like to but was wondering what the procedure is. Do I need to bring passport, ARC card, payslip like I do when I send money home from my KB account? I have heard that Korea Exchange bank is the best place to do this.

I got one the other day, becasue I forgot my banking info at home ( mad rush when I saw how good the exchange rate was)

Bring the ARC, passport and payslip just in case.

You won't be able to get one from KB bank. For some reason they just don't have them...they'll give you a very confused look, even when you have it written out in Korean for them.

Citibank will do them, though they will take a painfully long time and ask way too many questions. They even called immigration to make sure I was legal...it took almost an hour before I had the money order in my hand. Korea Exchange Bank will do it quite quickly and is probably your best bet.
