Some of these are considerably more disturbing than the ones that we've already seen.

Those pics are different from the 'new' ones I saw on the BBC yesterday:

Hmmm, looks like they updated it- there were only 5 there yesterday.

Damn hard to colonise and spread propaganda in the post-digital world, isn't it? I suspect photos and videos along this line will be emerging for decades.

Beheadings are more disturbing; naked men in a pile is just plain uncalled for.

Great timing on the release of the 'new' photos, just in time to keep the flames burning. How about some new cartoons of Mohamad?

As soon as Islam starts claiming they are the MOST civilized, forward/ free thinking and moralized folks on the planet, then I'll think start to think it can be based on a single comparison.

Where's the muslim outcry to denounce the kidnappings and murder? Much to do about a cartoon?

It's payback for giving us algebra. Bastages.....

It's a shame this will encourage further wanton behavior in the name of Islam. Couldn't be at a worse time.

You give 'em ammo, they just might shoot ya. The images are revolting. Not much you can say to defend them. About the only positive is that they have made the mainstream media. Fat chance of images of Chinese torturing Tibetans making the Chinese media. (But I noted the Chinese media picked up this story within hours of its release in the wetern media). That's the problem with having a free press. You show your own dirty laundy: great for weeding out evil, but those who have it in for you will use your own liberalism and freedoms against you.

The timing of this is just a bit sus, but as I say if you commit this kind of human evil, you can't complain when it comes back to haunt you. Certain elements in the USA have become arrogant past the point of decency: evil like this is the result. The USA can no longer be a credible critic of human rights abuses abroad. It has lost the right to make such criticisms. And that is sad indeed. Who else is going to keep China at bay as it spreads its capitalist/pseudo-socialist totalitarianism across the globe?

Sorry, I did not say 'Soldiers'. Terrorists. Ask Nicholas Berg.

Not defending what the morons (US Soldiers) did, plain stupid, and to take pictures? Idiots.

Forget I said anything.

Salon.com has obtained what appears to be a complete set of the Abu Ghraib pictures and videos.
