This post was inspired by me waking up to see the "classic" 80's flick "Teenwolf" on MBC...

What are your 5 favorite Cheese-ball 80's movies. Movies that ONLY could have been made in the 80's that you can't help but watch now and chuckle to yourself.

1. Back to the Future

2. Goonies

3. Teenwolf

4. Pretty in Pink

5. The Monster Squad

Probably too many to narrow down to five. I was thinking about "The Breakfast Club", but that flick ain't half bad. Could have been made in another era.

I did my undergrad in Film and was surrounded by people who harped on about Godfather, Citizen Kane, Some Like it Hot, Pulp Fiction etc being the best films. I went through my whole degree saying that the Goonies was my fave film. I still stand by it!!

1. Goonies
2. Big Trouble in Little China
3. Stand By Me
4. Dirty Dancing
5. Finally, for some odd reason ...anything that involved kid ninja's like karate kid or Phantom Force!

That's the trouble with this thread: the OP asked for cheesy 80s films, but everyone is listing classic (80s) films.

There were no cheesy movies made in the 1980's. That decade was the historical peak of all human culture and art.

I second that..

if you guys are saying these films are cheese something is seriously wrong with you guys..

come on! STAND BY ME!!! noway!! dream on.. have never met a person who didnt like that film!! thats a classic! I watched it again about 2 years ago classic as ever!
goonies! classic!!
back to the future!! classic!!
all classic.. umm maybe the people who are writing cheese are in their 40's? or in their early 20's?
I think these films are for 80's children! so if you were not a child in the 80's yeah you might think some of the flicks are cheese..

License to Drive
Killer Klowns from Outer Space
Repo Man
Action Jackson
The Re-Animator

(There is, perhaps, a sixth film which could be included, but it's not cheesy in the slightest sense, so I shall discount that option.)
