cleaned my brothers laptop with avg and se adware becuae his laptop was completely unuseable. 100% usuge at start-up, 30 minutes to start-up.
I also cant figure out why there are command prompts at start-up like cmd.exe, rsm.exe etc..
found 12,000 virus infections and 800 malware infections.
now the problem is I cant download anything. whenever i hit the download icon for mozilla or sp2; nothing happens. I cant even go to the help and support center on his windows xp. Click, but nothing happens.
went to microsoft homepage to update, but a blank page opens.
any clues? (short of formatting and reinstalling because dont know how to do it) |
