I was in Seoul last year until the election. It was tense time right?
how is it all now for the visible foreigner?
Is it safe there or do white/ black/ american looking teachers get abuse still traveling around the city ? |

Why do not you get a proper qualification and become a manager yourself and get a job in an advanced nation ? I heard you must have a degree.
It will make everything eazier. |
So why do you care about how it is in Seoul?????

If I give advice to someone, sensible advice, how is that related to asking what the mood in Seoul is ?
maybe I should have told them to bow down to their Korean master. And then you would have not posted.
My post is not a troll.
I asked for information. If you don 't like my advice to someone else , then that 's your problem.

Kidding, right? There wont be much violence. Hell, there really wasnt so much violence when the thing was fresh. Its one year later and I doubt it will be nearly as big now as it was a year ago. |

I was talking about North Korea.
That South Korean anti-Americanism has barely registered with me. |

Wow, is this Bizzaro World?? Is Gatohorrible CPA's Bizzaro world alter ego?
Gatohorrible wrote "It was tense time right?" I realize it was probably just a typing error but it just sounded so Korean it made me think of CPA's posts. Considering my "English challenged" students did really well today and the top students had there thumbs up their butts made me wonder what was going on.
I guess I shouldn't have changed to OB cans last night. Tomorrow, back to the bottles and I'm sure everything will work itself out. |

Yeah, completely safe as always.. after being throughout North America, South America, parts of Europe, and most of Asia.. I can still say with 100% certainty that Korea is the #2 safest country in the world next to Japan |

I'll second that opinion from Tiger Beer. Korea is not the warmest, fuzziest society for a foreigner/newcomer. But if you think it's a dangerous place, try going almost anywhere else on the planet. I'm not saying it's a piece of cake, but honestly people complain way too much about stuff like this. There are more paranoid expatriates in Seoul than just about anywhere. Keep an eye out at all times, but try to RELAX a bit and enjoy your time in Korea. If you can't stand the heat, I hear McDonald's in Toronto is hiring. |
