Can anybody tell where this is from the sign on the far river bank?

I think the sign is the name of the mountain, not the river, the guy who took the photo says
"In November 1945 it took us three days to reach the east coast from Seoul. I don't know this river's name"
and I'm trying to help him out |

| It might be the Soyang River, which ran from Inje to Chuncheon. But it isnt there anymore. A dam built in 1973 flooded the valley & created Soyang Lake. Thats my best guess -- the terrain looks right. |
