I'm in Bangkok right now, and I'd like to get a tailor made suit. There are tailors everywhere, but I hear that the quality varies drastically. Has anyone here had any good experiences they'd care to share?

Thanks!

If you are coming back to Korea (Seoul) you should wait and get one here. I decided to ask a female friend if she could ask her co-worker's where they get their suits. I was a little disgusted with the quality of the suits on the main drag in Itaewon. She ended up telling me her district manager recommended a place called "OTHELLO." They have a shop in Apkujeong, and one in Itaewon, but off the main drag a little.

Great price. Really nice suit. And NOT ajosshi-cut style. They had custom suits from 180,000 won on up (good ones). I spent a little more for some nice silk-blend material, and paid about 340,000. Every time I wear that suit, I get comments. Every single time.

Stay away from the ajosshi-catering shops on the main street in Itaewon. Overpriced. Often low quality. Cut for old men.

OTHELLO is located in one of the buildings above the Electric Cat or where Bricx was.... one of those buildings. it's on the 3rd floor, I think. I remember that if I sat in the window of Subway sandwiches, and looked across the street and up, I could see the red-lighted running board sign advertising the shop. Written in Korean, though. The women speak mostly Korean, but understand English. Very nice suits.
