My (Korean) wife is due to have our baby in March and I am concerned about registering him on her family records. My wife read somewhere that she would have to register him with HER family name(which is something we both don't want to do).
Any advice from someone who has information on this would be appreciated. |

If the baby has your wife's family name in the Korean records, do you have to give him/her your wife's family name on his/her non-Korean passport too? Friends in Japan (UK-Japanese couple) gave their kids the mother's Japanese family name for the Japanese records, and using his Polish family name (quite a mouthful and lots of consonants) elsewhere... Don't know for sure if the kids have their Polish names on their British passports though.
Might be worth looking into? |
