They remind me of my students on a sugar high. I've actually come into a classroom when they're playing some boy-band music video on the classroom monitor and there are five or six of them dancing around like that ... and at the same time five or six others are asleep.

I've also seen similar quality moves at a school district dance competition.

When high school students are told, "You must not sleep for more than five hours a night, or you'll never get into Seoul National University," they're bound to eventually crack and go bonkers sooner or later.

Less talented than some I've seen. This one was choreographed really bad.

I've always wondered why "crazy" is a sure fire laugh getter with Korean kids. I wonder if it's gallows humor for them. They've seen or known someone who went bonkers with all the studying and they know they're one B+ away from being out on the balcony ledge ready for a swandive into the KIA below...

Lately my kids have been touching their finger to their chin as sign that says "you're crazy". Usually for crazy we do the "coo coo" sign. Rotating your finger around your temple.

Curiously this hand gesture was something I taught them. It was my mnemonic for remembering the Korean word for crazy. "Mi chin". I'd touch my chin and say "me, chin".

the reason kids think it's a riot is because the korean translation of crazy is michin, which is a swear word. could you imagine if one of your teachers in elementary school just up and taught you how to say 'f-ck' in some other language? me, i'd laugh my ass off.

I think that video is hillarious. Nice way to get a smile on the face and start the day.
