"Champ" Lake Champlain seamonster apparently caught on video by fishermen.
News link has a video link in the upper left sidebar:
http://www.abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=1648547&page=1
When I went diving in Lake Champlain the visibility was about 4' (just enough to keep from smashing your face into a rock) and I didn't see anything bigger than a perch... |

Well, I watched the video. There's another minute and a half out of my life that was wasted. Didn't see a darn thing. Something tells me it was a mighty slow news day on ABC. |

I appreciated the story about the surgeon who put a screwdriver into a patient's spinal column. |

The problem with a giant sea monster in the lake story is there can't be just one. There'd have to be a large breeding population. While one alone might be able to hide in a large deep lake, the 300 needed to maintain a stable population simply couldn't hide. |

About as equally slow as my afternoon was, I suppose. |

I'm glad you included "too" given the use of "damn" rather than "damned."

Gee, let me check if 'damn' and 'stupid' are collocates in that context...Yep, they are.
---how he could be `so damn stupid". Bodyguards claim that she ---
---Well if that's true it seems to me that's damn stupid on behalf ---
Can "pretty damn" be followed by an adjective? Sure...
---11 pounds is pretty damn close to 14 stone!---
---I'D RATHER BE IN PHILADELPHIA, which is pretty damn great---
I guess that means you are...
... wrong.

Hmm... Looks like that link is off-limits at this PC-bang, it's being blocked by the censor-program. ABC news site isn't it? |

Yes, plain old ABC news. You could probably go to Google news and find mirrors, but as other have already indicated, even I have to admit that the video isn't exactly spectacular footage. |

I wonder if ABC has a subsidiary in the tourism industry around Lake Champlain. |
