i bought an imac a few months back b4 i had conceived of this caper - korea - and think it would be a shame to leave it in storage

especially with all the vinyl ive labourously loaded onto it

is it feasible to bring the thing? could i just check the thing in in its original packing?

do people bring desk tops over with them?

Personally, I would sell the sucker and get an iBook, but if you are really hung on bringing it, make sure you have your reciepts so you don't end up paying duty on it if you take it back to the States. I would also consider space. In my apartment, there really isn't a great place to put a desktop. I'd also be worried about what TSA would do to it.

Can you save the vinyl to some other medium from the desktop? I'd consult the nearest Apple Store to see if they have any ideas.

My beloved iMac is sitting in storage. Sad

Good luck, whatever you decide.
