interesting article. If this is true all of us who have been told that since univs pay into the private school pension fund are owed severance pay despite what our contracts say.

They have an email address I'll see what the say.

I read and see what we all know anyway!
Everyone gets severance pay except the poor old Epik on his 50-week contract.
Plus one major mistake in the article - last year courts decided that housing allowance is excluded from the calculation - and most employers (universities know this - I know - as mine challenged it)

The new EPIK contract is 52 weeks with severance. It's posted on Dave's Korea Job site. The EPIK WEB site has been revamped. Check it out.

I posted this info last August. Everybody gets severence pay. My old Uni tried to not pay it, and I called the labour board on them. They made a call to the school pres and I recieved the 5 mil I was owed. Plus pension. A nice fianl pay check of over 12 mil. Don't believe anything anyone tells you. Always check yourself, if they tell you can't or don't get something. Most people over here don't know Jack. Look out for No.1.

Fired 6 days before? Go to the labor board. With 6 days, you can bet they will help you! And post the name of the school. Warn others please.
