|
|
I will move apartment, from one side of Seoul to the other.
I have my bank account at Nonghyup. I am wondering if I should move my account the the local branch near my new apartment (which would mean making a whole new account).
I will lose my ARC soon, cause I will stop work and study Korean. So if I need to move the account, I should do it now.
Has anyone ever had pains when going to a branch of your bank that is not your home branch? Like, do they ask you for extra ID and passport and such? Or does it never really matter which branch is your "home branch".
Thanks, |

If you are still a non-Korean residing in Korea you will still have an ARC. They are for any foreigner staying in the country for more than 90 days, not just people working. |

No, I checked with Immigration. I will be studying Korean on a C-3 or C-2 visa and they do NOT give ARC to holders of C-3 or C-2 visa.
So I will not still have my ARC card, though I wish I could. But that is another issue.
Anyone have any major inconveniences when using branches of your back which are not the branch you opened you account it?
Thanks |

| How much longer do you intend on staying in Korea? |

Then I stand corrected. It doesn't mention any exceptions on the website, but surely the employees know the rules.
We all believe that right? |

| I decided to open up an account near my new apartment at a different bank. Then I can keep my old account for emergency use. Live it up! Have 2 bank accounts! Seems a good solution. |
