Don Knotts, the irrepressible comic actor who won five Emmys as Deputy Barney Fife on The Andy Griffith Show, died Friday night in Los Angeles; he was 81.
From IMDB

Had to be one of the greatest comedic actors of his time.
He will be missed.

Man, that is truly a great loss. He was great in so many roles. His pinnacle was definitely as Mr. Furley on Three's Company. Hearing his voice alone was enough to crack me up. Does anyone remember "The Apple Dumpling Gang"?

Yep. Didn't he also work with Tim Conway et al on the Carol Burnett show?

"The Apple Dumpling Gang" was a childhood classic.

"The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again" ... less so.

Yes, I remember that movie. He was awesome with Tim Conway. What a funny duo! He will be missed.
