A friend is coming to stay with me for a couple of weeks and will be taking off on his own for part of the stay. Is there anywhere that you can rent a cellphone for a couple of weeks?

I know you can do it at the airport, but I suspect that the cost would be quite high...has anyone ever gone this route?
