The Supreme Court justices seem sympathetic to actress Anna Nicole Smith as they hear arguments in her case to claim part of her late billionaire husband's estate. The question is whether federal courts have a role in probate issues, which traditionally are in the control of the states. |

And the Canadian version of this is:
Pamela Anderson to host 2006 Juno awards (Cdn version of Grammy awards).
Is anyone else thinking, WTF?!? Is that the BEST they could come up with?
So that's 2 signs... how many to go? |

I think she is entitled to a portion of his estate since they were legally married and no one has come up with claims of him assenting to it under any kind of duress. Mind you, triple D's do weigh a lot
They guy was worth a billion and a bit. Even one of his own sons was trying to get the other son disinherited. A family circus to be sure.
The lawyers are laughing the hardest. |

I want to know why Bulsajo is dissing Pamela Anderson.
There was a time when about the only English TV progamming available where I lived (around '96) was Bay Watch. Once I got over the sensory overload of seeing enhanced mammary glands, I came to realize that ole Pamela was an amazingly good actress...at least compared to her competition on the only other show I could see--Santa Barbara.
.
To paraphrase a comment made about another actress in another situation, her emotional range covered all the bases between A and B. And I was grateful for that much.
But yes, I think both are serious indications that the Apocolype is nigh. |

Those are actually the second and the third. The first sign was seen in January when Kenny G played a concert in Seoul. |

If I'm not mistaken (and why should I start making mistakes now?...) I included Pamela on my list of "great vegetarian thinkers" (I think she was more attractive before her breast enhancement, though...) |

Is Pamela Anderson one of those Canadians Canadians won't generally cross a room to announce to strangers is Canadian? For example, you over hear a stranger saying "Mike Myers" or "Barenaked Ladies" or even "William Shatner" and, as a Canadian, you'll push over an old lady to get close to the stranger and note, with pride, the person of which they speak is, in fact, a Canadian. (After an uncomfortable second of silence, you then stumble away, helping the old lady to her feet, asking her if she saw the American that likely pushed her to the floor...)
On my list of Canadians I don't really speak up for:
- Pamela Anderson
- Alan Thicke
- Jim Carrey |

Pamela Anderson and I went to the same high school. She and her cleavage went on to fame and fortune in Hollywood. I, on the other hand, moved on to teaching EFL in Korea. I don't envy her cleavage, but I sometimes wish I had a piece of her money. |

Well, in her defense, she did appear in a couple of videos with rock stars. |
