Just came back from Carrefour, and they have great prices on clothes. I know many people are interested in large size clothing. The largest size they have in shorts is 34(87). I haven't a clue what that means. The largest size in bras is 90B.

Anyway, those are the items I bought.

Shorts were won 8,000 - 13,000. Bras were won 15,000. (and the fit is good!)

Shirts (for men, t's and dress)I saw up to size 105. Prices started at won 7,000 and went up. Didn't need them so I didn't look.

I did not see sizes past 90 for women in dresses, but then again, I didn't look too hard. I just went in for bras and shorts.

And 105 shirts for men?? That's far from big. 105 makes me look like I'm trying out for the 80's phenomenon "Menudo".

One persons view of anything is not like anothers. Sorry. I do not know what that 34 means. If it is waiste, I don't know. I was just happy to be able to get into that size, and I am definately fat.

I also do not know what 105 is, really.

I just know that I am on a diet, and I lost 17kg. Took me over a year. I still have to loose 10 more, but the point is I haven't a clue WHAT size I am. I had not been able to find clothes that fit me before today. I didn't even want to get clothes now, but I had no choice.

So, let me rephrase this post and say Carrefore has clothes up to those sizes.

I'm a man.
I just bought a pair of dark blue cotton shorts from Carrefour. Price was 7,500 won, and size was 36 inch. They had bigger, I believe, and that's hard to find in Korean stores.
110 is also hard to find in shirts, and they have it in stock about half the time.

I was going to say....hmmmm.... Shocked

I am a 34 waist and a 100 to 105 shirt (depending what I am wearing and how much I want my muscles to show). For a male, that isn't big at all. On the other hand...for women.... I wouldn't know.

Glad u found a pair of shorts 36. The largest size I saw today was 34, but perhaps they were just out of them.

Yes, 34 is big for women, but I used to be alot larger, so I am happy. And in Carrefore they are cheap enough. I know people do not want to buy clothes while they are dieting, so I mentioned Carrefore with the cheap prices and large size.

I just know lots of people have been writing lately about looking for large size clothing, and that is why I made this post. In the USA no mater what a person weighs clothes are easy to get, but here lots of women cannot find clothes.

I certainly do not want to get into a debate about being fat: I hate being fat.

French or European?
Korean. Korean bra's have padding. The one I bought just has a very slight amount of padding, more like a liner.

I am not talking about anthing sexy here, just one that does the job. We always see bra's sold in the subway that are super tiny and padded. By the way, Carrefore has plenty of those.

There really should be a sticky here on "clothing". I noticed there is one on cloth diapers.

I realize the discussion was mostly about women's clothing, but it seems to me like Carrefore and E-Mart both had sizes up to about 110. I'm a bigger guy and seem to run into the same kind of problem.

Ah well, those are my size. Embarassed Getting bras in my size is very easy, getting bras in my size without padding is almost impossible. Sad

Korea uses the European bra size system, but Carrefour (being a French supermarket chain) sells bras imported from France with the French sizing every now and then. (Or at least the Ilsan branch does.) By the way, French 90B is European 75B, and European 90B is French 105B. The biggest ones in my local Carrefour are European 85B.

I consider myself really lucky that I can buy clothes (and even shoes) very easily, but since I have a husky fiance, I exactly know what you're talking about. This thread really should be sticky.

I have noticed Carrefour used to carry a 110 size for many things. I haven't noticed that lately.

Depending on your age, a 34 waist would be considered "fit" in North America, especially if you're over 30. In fact, if your waist size stays below your age through out your 30s, you're doing hella well.

so if you're 39 years old but your waist size is 38, you're in good shape? NO freakin' way - fat is fat.

Yep, fat is fat. Now, if we were to make a thread "Is it healthy or attractive" to be fat, then the answer, I think, is "no". But Koreans (usually) think anything other then super thin is fat. I have seen Korean women who look super (to me*)say that that they are "fat". Also, "fit" and "fat" are not the same.

As I said, I am not here to argue about fat, I just think we need a sticky here so people can write where they can go to buy clothes.

When some one says" Wow, you are fat...you weigh 120 pounds, or 130 or 200lbs....".A woman 5' who weighs 140 pounds is fat, but a woman who is 6' tall may not be. All depends on height and muscle tone.
