Hi
I have to pay for my return airfare to Korea (being reimbursed later). Am I legally allowed into the country if I only have a one way ticket?
With the 12 month limit on return airfares I'd have to arrive the same day I am to start teaching and leave the same day I finish! Buying a one way ticket is the only way I see around this. What did you all do?

If you have the E-2 Visa in your passport on your arrival in Korea, a one-way ticket is fine.
Do not buy a return ticket t unless you know you will be able to head home before the 12 months is up.
I am speaking from experience - I stupidly listened to the PA at my country's Korean consulate, bought a return ticket (she claimed that was part of the visa requirement), which created several headaches for me later on... |

Buy a round trip ticket with a credit card and then cancel the 'way back' when you get here. I had to do that one year when I was between jobs. |

Yep. Also, a year is a long time and you might change plans and want to go somewhere else after you contract. You dont have to have the 2 way w/E2. |
