I find shortcomings in the restaurant / pub employee behaviors here...

Mmmm well as you all must know by now my Noble Bearing, Cleverness, and Power and Might is nigh matched by my Great Overweening Hubris. That is I think I'm wayyy c00l and I am kinda c00l.

Anyhow, I went for dinner with some charming ladies last night. Later I stopped at the World Famous (in Jeju) Bar the:

Blue Aguava

The manger there is a well spoken and bonny lass but she lacks in the Commercial Skills that are so aptly and consistently displayed at McDonalds, TGI Fridays, AppleBees, or any Bar or Restaurant that's standing policy is unrelenting courtesy and friendliness. I've endeavored to explain it to her that she should copy the American Commercial Social Pub Model but she bluntly refuses. As my habit I say,
"Hello _____ did you miss me?"
And she would reply,
"No, I never miss you."
This happens whenever I would frequent the Blue Aguava- which isn't to often as I HATE smoky stinky bars. (In America I enjoyed many University bars in the warm months with the outdoor beer gardens and live music but disdained them in the winter when they shuttered me inside the stank.) Err anyhow the point is that this otherwise pleasant and intelligent Korean seems to miss the whole point of being a successful host.

Now before someone says hey why are you bashing the Blue Aguva online!? Umm I'm not in fact I recommend going if you do not have an incredibly giant size ego like me. Umm it's nice err check the home page peole have a lot of fun there. It's just that I think they and a lot of other Korean Clubs / Bars need to get a clue. But I suppose it could be all connected to the lack of tips in Korea whereas American restaurant workers live on tips.

At any rate I'll save my money here towards a much more friendly waitress in another country who will properly stroke my bloated ego saying things like, "Oh yes of course it so good to have you here." "Welcome to _______ what can I get you sir."
