I keep hearing of the labour board. Is it helpful? Do they work on the side of teachers or employers? How long does the process take if you have a grievance? Just want to know for future reference. Thanks

Worked like a charm for me! I quit a job after giving a month's notice, but the university tried to keep two month's of salary, my bonus, my airfare, and 'blacklist' me. Thanks to the labour board, I was paid everything I was owed and had the added satisfaction of watching a government official tell the university rep that they were a bunch of uninformed wankers. They work pretty fast and the process is painless. I registered over the net, if I recall.
