www.lokomotiv-goyang.com if you want to play the round ball game out there. Plenty of weygukin to amuse yourself amongst, the odd appearance by my own bad self there as well. Not sure of specific venues there right now, but a while ago Soul Train and Don't Go were the two main hangouts, the latter was a bit of a frat-party type atmospher and the former a bit of a Kigger hangout. You also have easy access to the countryside, lake park, plenty of shopping in La Festa, restaurants and a mere 45 mins or so away is the gateway to the Incheon beaches/Islands. Same distance to Seoul as well. Its one of my favourite parts of the country to spend some time in. You'd do a lot worse than to take a job there.

I have lived in Ilsan for two years and it has been a great experience.

The largest man-made park and lake in South Korea is in Ilsan (Lake Park). It's really beatiful. There is La Festa. It's a really cool outdoor shopping mall. Lot's of resturants and shops. You can even take a hike up Cheongbal-san.

There are a lot of foreigners in the area because there are many hogwons in the area. Don't Go and Seoul Train are the most popular places, and both of those places are located in La Festa. I personally don't go to those places too often but you can always go there is you need want to meet some people.

It's far enough from Seoul to have some peace, and it's close enough to Seoul for a great time!

PM me for more info.

I have lived in Ilsan since June 2004 and it has been a great experience. My favourite Korean city without a doubt.

PM me for more info.
