Just curious if anyone here knows much about spinal chord injuries.

If one were to break their C7, would this necessarily involve paralysis?

If so, would it be from the chest-down or neck-down (Christopher Reeves)?

From reading this it seems someone who completely broke their C-7 would not need a respirator like Christopher Reeves. They would be paralyzed from the base of the neck (chest) down though.

All of the above CAN be mitigated by the severity of the injury (complete or incomplete) so even though there's a C7 injury it does not necessarily entail full paralysis.
