Anybody out there ever send a registered letter from Korea to the U.S.? How much would it cost?
Or how about a money order? |
Money orders are available at any bank that has a foreign exchange desk. The cost is around 5000 won for an INTERNATIONAL (cashable outside of Korea) money order. They will sell you one in USD, CAD, and EUROS. I imagine you can also get them for other currencies.
I have never sent a registered letter from here, but I have used EMS (express mail service) many times. The cost is very reasonable (around 10,000 for documents (500gm). I have also used it for small packages (about 18,000 won) for up to 2 kilos. Signature on delivery and web tracking/tracing are included. |
