Do I have to pay tax to IRS while living in Korea?

Hello,

If I plan to teach in Korea for a year where the tax rate is about 3%, do I still have to pay taxes to the US govt as well since it's usually about 20%.
Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

If you earn more than 80,000 USD, yes, you pay tax on the top slice.
