How much time have spent in Korea in your life ? This is a total of all time spent here in your life. I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but as you know the search engine sucks.

Arrived in 1996.. but also spent one year in South America, two years in New York City, one year in San Francisco, and another year in Spain/Austria. Those are all various times during the last 10 years since first arriving in Korea 10 years ago. |

can i just ask some of you people whats in korea for you? whats making you stay on? dont mean that in a critical way. i personally left after 2 years. i liked it for that time but i wanted to start my career back home. i felt it was a responsibility free lifestyle for me, time to save a bit of cash and do something different. was cool though. i couldnt of done anymore myself. how about you? |

19 years. Haven't been to Korea for more than 4 years. Things might have changed a bit in my hometown, which was an apartment complex near Technomart. When I was living there, I didn't really travel around other parts of Seoul. If I go visit Seoul, it will be all refreshing.... |

For those of you who have been here 5+ years, what's your level of Korean proficiency? Are you fluent? How did you learn the language? Formal classroom setting? Korean friends/significant others? How long did it take you to get to the level of fluency that you wanted?
I've just started my 2nd stint here in Korea (was here almost a year and a half the first time) and I find myself wanting to know the language more and feeling kind of pathetic for knowing as little as I do. I don't have the kind of schedule that will permit me to take classes at a language institute. Is it just a matter of time? |
