St. Pat's Guinness Draught Hooley at O'Kims (Westin Chosun Hotel), Saturday, March 18 - from 7:00 PM ~ 2:00 AM - Guinness beer and live band entertainment featuring traditional and modern Irish music plus contemporary rock. It is definitely one of the biggest parties of the calendar year. There will be following live bands:

O'Kims House Band - to warm up the crowd

Grooble - featuring Pogues and Irish drinking songs

Seoul Ceol & Friends - playing traditional music

Dusty Blue - a U2 cover band

FADED - back with their contemporary rock hits.

W60,000 per person (payable in cash much preferred) for all you can eat and drink - including Guinness Draught, with profits going to future Irish events. Due to safety concerns, only 700 people will be permitted this year. Admission fees is payable at the door or by prepayment by visting O'Kims prior to the event; or you may phone (tel: 02-317- 0388) in your credit card info to prepay and receive by fax your receipt.

60,000 won??!!!

Shocked

I think I'll have my own, private Paddy's Day party. In my house. With a bottle of whisky. That didn't cost 60,000 won.

Went last year and it was a great time although extremely packed and having to push your way up to the bar. Probably put a limit on the amount of people because of the huge crowd last year.

Just don't drink so much that you get hit by a train on the way home!

I went last year, too. Way too crowded and hot (700 people still seems like too many for that place to me, though). It was a good time and I got to meet up with a few people I hadn't seen in eons, but the Guinness seemed watered-down and the staff simply had no time to pour it properly. I'm gonna give it a miss this year.

Was at it a few times over the years, has to be done once. I will however be spending St Patricks Night at the Dublin in Bundang, a lot of regulars will be there, nothing too organised, just lots of drink great music Irish Stew if you are there on time, and Green Beer. 031 7087942 Seo Hyeon Station Bundang. Not worth the hassle of travelling to the Chosun and getting smothered .
