I joined a baseball team here, and I have asked the Koreans about where I can get a jock and cup, and they really dont understand what I am talking about. I guess they dont usually wear them, but being an experienced baseball player, I am not stepping on any field without one, especially on the fields they use here, talk about absolute crap.

so where can I get one? can I just eat Kimchi and will that protect me just the same???

If you can't find one at the ordinary 'sports' store, you can pick one up at any of the hockey stores. Spomax in yeoksam, Jim Paek in myong-dong, there is also hockeygiant - not sure where it is..

No, but if you shove kimchi into your pants, it might help.

I agree with pauly. Why traipse half-way across town? A bag of kimchi shoved strategically in the pants should do the trick.

Don't forget to put a large cabbage leaf under your cap to help keep you cool in the summer, either.

I had mine laying around in my living room and the new teacher from Canada was over...she picked it up and was checking it out. I was really kinda embarrassed. Then, as she didn't know what is was she stuck it on her face and asked if it was a respirator. I told her it was a cup and that athletes wear them to protect their genitals. I couldn't believe it when next she sorta unconsciously sniffed it! Shocked
