Hi,
Im arriving in South Korea about mid August and would like to get some summer work before starting a contract on 1st September, this year.
1) Who is the best recruiter for summer camps and summer classes? does anyone have an email or website I could follow up on? i would like to arrive with some work or at least an interview lined up.
2) Are there more jobs available at the private schools in late August , ready for the new school year - or is this just in my imagination?
Thanks!

I think you will have some difficulty finding a job for less than a month in the summer. Maybe I'm wrong.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'private schools'. Do you mean privately owned 'public' schools, or do you mean language institutes (hakwons)?
If you mean the privately owned schools, then they will try to do their hiring earlier than August. Schools start their second semester late that month. There will still be some openings because of the large demand. I would recommend you start applying considerably earlier than August.
If you are talking about hakwons, they hire all year round. Their busiest seasons are in Jan/Feb. and July/August when the public schools are on vacation.
A rule of thumb: once you have been accepted for a job, it takes several weeks (as much as a month) to process all the red tape. Jobs almost always start on the first day of a month. |

Summer camp jobs are available a smidge earlier but you need to get here by mid July. Those jobs last about one month. |
