We are considering moving to Spain in the next few months. Obviously we want to take our two dogs. This is proving to be quite time-consuming and a hassle. Here's what we've found out so far...
1. It takes about 4 months to process. So start early.
2. Our dogs need newer microchips -- theres are about 2 years old.
3. Don't do the paperwork through your vet!!!!! It costs about 2x as much, upwards $1,000 in Itaewon.
Seoul National University of Education is processing everything for two dogs for about $525. Our travel agent tracked down the info and set the appointment for us -- so I don't have contact info. Well worth the effort to have your agent do the same. |

Be careful about what time of year you're planning for, too. I knew a French couple who had to wait two months because the airlines wouldn't allow dogs in the cargo hold during summer months (afraid of them succumbing to heat stroke while waiting on the ground). |
